2005 Bull Sale Results T he Schiefelbein family from Kimball, Minn were greeted with a great crowd of both new and repeat buyers for their annual bull sale held at Faith Livestock in Faith, SD. The large crowd consisting of top commercial cattle producers from a five-state area speaks volumes about the Schiefelbein program. The program has built and excellent reputation of producing top bulls that will work from the pasture to the consumers plate. They back that reputation by attending feeder calf sales throughout the region buying or bidding on calves sired by their bulls.Jason & John Bakke for Pierz, Minn took home the top selling lot, a son Harb Cincha 829 for $8250. The Entze Brothers for Golden Valley, ND purchased top outstanding sons of Schiefelbein Hilton at $5250 each. Earl Maier of Faith, SD paid $5000 for a son of Schiefelbein Wallstreet. Scott Ranch of Billings, MT was a volume buyer taking home 12 bulls including 4 flush brothers for $4500 each. The W.T. Waggoner Estate was another volume buyer purchasing 12 outstanding bulls for an average price of $4000. This was a very fast paced event with strong, active bidding on every bull that went through the ring. When the final gavel fell, all 146 bulls sold to cattle producers from a 7 state area with a powerful $3489 average.
